Narrative
"Star Trek: Below Decks" focuses on the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s least important ships, the USS Cerritos, in the year 2380. Ensign Mariner, Boimler, Rutherford, and Tendi must juggle their duties and social lives, often while the ship is rocked by a number of science fiction anomalies. The ship’s bridge crew includes Captain Carol Freeman, Commander Jack Ransom, Lieutenant Shaxs, and Dr. T’An. This is the second animated spin-off of the series, following the 1973-74 Star Trek: The Animated Series; but it definitely has a more mature tone and humor.
